About Our League

The NIP's Family welcomes and thanks all returning and new teams for making our horseshoe league amazing! Our previous seasons have been great fun and very successful and we trust it will continue for seasons to come.

We intend to make this in-house league an atmosphere of fun and friendly competition with a bunch of great people. During our Golden Tee league, we start in the middle of November and go until the middle of February (14 weeks long). At the end of the season, we will have a banquet party in March,  where we will announce our winners and to thank all who participated in the winter Golden Tee League.

For our league you will need a partner and to record your score at any point during the week at NIP's. The course you play each week will be the same for all the players in the league. At the beginning of the season, you will receive an email with a roster of the teams and the courses that need to be played each week. Along with that, each Sunday we will have score cards available for the current week you will be playing upon bar open. Once you collect your weekly scorecard, you will have the current standings attached as well as receiving weekly standings email.

Match Scheduling & Play

You will have 7 Days to play your match (Sunday to Saturday) and must be played on the NIP's machines for your score to count. Your weekly opponent does not need to be present at the same time as you and your teammate, but if you can schedule them to be present, it is encouraged! After you are done with your round, please turn your scorecard into the staff member on duty.

Each team will pay $90/player ($180 total) as a league fee. Please pay this amount by week 1 of the league.

This fee gos towards running the league, payouts, the end-of-year banquet, and the end-of-year tournament.

If for some reason you need to leave the league, you will be refunded the remaining number of weeks times $6/week.

You will also receive your prize money equal to the payout formula for the number of weeks you played. If this happens, the prize money due at the time will not be paid out until the year-end banquet.

70% of money collected will go to the league payout and 25% of all money collected will go towards the year-end tournament payout.

A per-win point value will be assigned based on the number of games to be played. In addition, 5% of all money collected will go to the Most Hole In One's. If there is a tie for the most hole-in-ones, we will refer to most GTPs.

Ties: In the event of a tie for individuals and/or teams, the money to be paid from each position will be combined and split evenly

This means you will be playing 1 vs. 1 against your opponent.

For example: Player 1 Team 1 will be playing against Player 2 Team 2.

For example: Player 2 Team 1 will be playing against Player 1 Team 2.

This means you and your teammate will be playing as one player and will play every other shot.

Note: Player 1 tees off on all odd-numbered holes and Player 2 tees off on all even-numbered holes.

Note: It doesn't matter for League purposes which one it is as your handicap is based on both of you combined.

If you know you will have a team or a player out for an entire 7 days, you can play ahead (2 weeks maximum).

Please notify our staff and we will provide the appropriate scorecard for you ahead of time.

Please note, if you shoot ahead, the handicaps, for either team, will not be accurate until the actual week the match is to be played and the standings will be skewed until caught up.

It has been mentioned that people would really enjoy playing against each other at the same time if possible. This is why we email you a roster at the beginning of the season so you can coordinate with your opponents on when you can play together.

With that being said, if you cannot make a day and/or time work for you and your opponent, you don't need to play against each other in-person.

All Golden Tee Machines will be available during the meat raffles, packers games, badgers games, leagues, or public parties thrown by NIP's. If we are closed for a private event, we will notify you on the date and time you are not able to record a score.

EVENTS AT THE PUB TO KEEP IN MIND:

Monday Nights starting at 7pm– Darts. We can accommodate 2 teams and at least 1 or 2 of the machines are available.

Wednesday Nights from 6:15pm - 10pm – Dartball. No machines are available due to the 25 to 30 people in the room, with furniture & machines completely moved around creating no access to the GT machines.

This is an in-house league and matches must be played at NIP'S! If someone is caught playing elsewhere and scores are turned in, you will be disqualified from the league, immediately and will lose all prize and entry money.

We have software that does our opponent scheduling for us for the season. Please be on the look out for this email so you know who you are playing each week.

We will let you know what courses you are playing each week. You will never play the same course two weeks in a row. ALL Matches must be played on the same course in the scheduled week. Please be on the look out for an email that will tell you what courses you will play each week.
